Pros and Cons of a Smartphone

Having a smartphone has proven that people can’t really function without it especially when you’re in a world where technology is already the main source of power. However, with all good things, there are always the bad parts that come with it.

  1. Innovation

There are many innovative apps that has been released to make the world a much better place. Apps such as Uber, a cab hauling service where users are able to view the estimated fee before calling for a driver, or the German phone tracking app, “Handy Orten”. With these two apps, it’s safe to say that a smartphone is another wonderful space for innovative ideas to take place.

With Smartphones, all you need is an internet connection and you’re good to go for unlimited free text messaging and calls. Apps like Whatsapp and Skype has been going strong for many years ever since the first smartphone was launched and is still making communication easier and efficient today.

While it is a useful device to occupy your time, smartphones also have games and social networking platforms that could easily turn the heads of an unfocused user from their work to endless procrastination easily available close to them.

 

  1. Obsolete

One of the most concerned cons for both Smartphones and technology is that as technology is continuously improving and creating new devices each time, this makes older devices obsolete. Older smartphones may not even be capable of handling new apps due to the large differences in hardware. Because of this, smartphones are often thrown away which leads to a major problem in the build-up of tech disposal.
